This style of tourniquet was previously accepted to meet minimum requirements under ANSI Z308.1 for Class B first aid kits. Updated guidelines have since changed, and this type of tourniquet is no longer recommended for Class B kits.

For current compliance and improved hemorrhage control, we recommend upgrading to a CAT tourniquet.
