Bleedcease for Minor Cuts and Nosebleeds. Bleedcease is a calcium alginate wound dressing which is a natural biopolymer. When in contact with blood, Bleedcease releases calcium which becomes a soft gel agent conforming to the wound. Bleedcease will not stick to the wound which reduces rebleeds and pain when removing the dressing. Bleedcease for minor cuts and nosebleeds is helpful in dry environments where nosebleeds may be more frequent.
